ABOUT THE ARTIST

Stacey Lackman is an artist located in the quiet corner of Northeast Connecticut.

From a young age, she has showed a natural talent for art and would replicate images or objects she saw and has a great passion for the outdoors and animals. Today, her passions have grown even deeper, and her skill level has developed into outstanding realism through trial and years of experience.
Stacey enjoys creating realistic portraits of pets and animals, and is excited to share her gift of art with friends and clients. Allowing them to enjoy her artwork of a beloved pet or get a taste of wilderness through one of her wildlife renderings.

Stacey has studied at Eastern Connecticut State University, completing a bachelor’s in Fine Art, with a concentration in Painting & Drawing, and also received an Associates in Business Administration. 

In 2010, she was awarded a Certificate of Outstanding Academic and Artistic Achievement in Painting, from ECSU.

During 2011, she was also the recipient of the Dorothy and Vernita Haynes award from the Soroptimist International of Greater Hartford. A grant that is awarded to young women artists perusing their goals and bettering their community.

Stacey lives in a quaint town with her husband Tyler, and their dog and two cats. They also share their passion of animals with their small herd of American Milking Devon cattle, and three donkeys. 

Stacey balances her artwork with her full time job, and with her passions of exploring the outdoors, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with those she loves.
